Our penultimate lesson of Met took place today and luckily it is still interesting. The now-standard coffee/tea in the canteen followed. I went to Ops and found no flying slot on for me; Daniel's weekend ends tomorrow, so I went and asked Ross for a slot at 15:00 to which he agreed.

Du Toit joined our table in the coffee house/canteen, and asked Ben and I about what we were going to do, now a PPL was out of reach. We both plan to obtain PPLs in the UK, but I fear it will be a very long and difficult process for both personal and financial reasons. Hopefully I'll pull it off someday soon.
Neale came up with me on this flight, stuffed in the back with his camera gear. Ross didn't seem to mind, luckily the aircraft wasn't fully fueled. There was an approaching cold front but the air wasn't too turbulent. I practiced steep turning, stalling and side-slipping before returning to FAPA. I would have done a few circuits, had Ross not had a suspicion with regards to the rudder. He took it to the AMO after the flight for an inspection.

Neale narrowly failed his Air Law test today, which did smart a bit. Air law isn't taught to us, but comes in a whacking great big book with 80% garbage and 20% useful content - as legal documents often do. Now I can't even take the tests, it is somewhat positive that I don't have to worry about failure anymore. Sam, or more commonly known as "Sheba" took his first test today in PoF. He failed. I dare say it was just deserts for not participating or even writing notes in class.

Steve had his assessment with a CAA-accredited instructor at 43 today, and failed. So none of us four FSD/RIAT scholarship winners will go solo or achieve a PPL.

Got a flight at 07:00 tomorrow, hopefully bag at least another one with Daniel before Tuesday is through.
