My flight this morning, with Daniel went quite well. Took Echo-Echo-Golf up and into the East Coastal sector for some tight turns and general handling work. While flying along the coast, we managed to spot a few whale. Then we returned to FAPA for some circuit work. The last landing was my best one so far I think.

GS finished with the Restricted Radio Licence test, which I think I passed but should find out next week. Du Toit wished everyone the best of luck and invited anyone with questions about things to track him down. He's a great bloke and teacher. We're going to chuck our specially made gift to him next week.

My second flight of the day was with Ross. We spent about 1.5 hours practicing circuits; quite tiring stuff but the practice definitely helps. Progress seemed to be sporadic, as there was a lot of turbulence, but hopefully I made a decent job of it.

Neale kindly agreed to run me and Paul into town, so that we could get some KFC and feast on it back at 43. Du Toit later joined us in the bar, as he was collecting Jean'dre; who is going to look after his home while they are on holiday, and was the duty cadet that evening. After we'd all finished up I went to Ops to check if/when I had a slot tomorrow. I'm flying at 09:00 with Daniel.
