GS got a bit tedious today, working through the question booklet. No doubt beneficial in the long term though. Asked Wendy about SPLs again, still no news.

Reported to Daniel for my flying slot. I had to remember and action more of the start up and taxi procedures this time. Again I took off, but like on Tuesday, the weather was very hot, humid and misty with not much visibility.

Nevertheless, it was one of my best flights so far. The technique is starting to come together I feel, luckily Daniel thinks my flying is good too. We went out to the west coastal sector first and practiced turning, climbing, descending and levelling off. Then we headed over to the "Mark's Farm" sector, which has a landing strip. We are not allowed to land there, but it is an excellent place to practice circuits. After doing that a couple of times, we returned to FAPA. Daniel did a touch and go first to demonstrate, and then I flew the circuit before landing myself; a smoother landing than yesterday. Unfortunately I was too hot on the toe brakes and one locked, causing the aircraft to veer sideways along the runway. It was hair-raising stuff, but we managed to sort it out. Came away from the aircraft sweating buckets, but also very pleased.

Friday night meant going to Oddfellows and having a decent meal, with too much alcohol. We found Du Toit and his wife, shortly to celebrate their silver anniversary, and shared many laughs before the night was through.
