Arrived home last night from what was another excellent couple of days at RAF Cranwell. Fantastic bunch of new people as well as some great friends and mentors from last year. The format and content of the selection was basically the same, with a few tweaks to get everyone more familiar with eachother and things more relaxed.
Still, I was very very tense leading up to and during the interview and let out a huge sigh of relief after finishing. I travelled to and from Cranwell with Emrys Harries, who was the only other candidate applying for a second consecutive time. We shared a good sense of humour and despite our best efforts, made our way home in good time without getting "geographically embarrassed"! I sincerely hope that, even if I dont get a scholarship, he does! Of course, everyone at Cranwell was most deserving.
The more I've thought about the selection and interviews, the more I doubt that I have been awarded a scholarship. Of course I hope that I am very much mistaken!
